Coral Springs police search for missing and endangered 87-year-old woman last seen early Wednesday morning
Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs police are asking for the public’s help in locating an 87-year-old woman who has been reported missing and endangered.
Cecilia Martinez was last seen early Wednesday morning, Sept. 9, according to the Coral Springs Police Department. Police said she was on foot at approximately 3:17 a.m. near the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Northwest 107th Drive.
Because of Martinez’s age and the circumstances of her disappearance, authorities are urging anyone who may have seen her to contact police with any information that could help locate her.
Martinez is approximately 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 130 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a shirt of unknown color and capri-style pants.
She was also carrying a blanket when she was last seen.
The description provided by police is intended to help residents and others in the area recognize Martinez if they come across her. Anyone who was in the area around the time she was last seen or who may have information about where she went is encouraged to contact authorities.
Police are asking people to remain alert and report any possible sightings rather than assuming someone else has already contacted law enforcement.
