Coral Springs Thrills & Chills Halloween event returns Oct. 17 with games, music, costumes and family-friendly activities
Coral Springs, Florida – Halloween celebrations are coming back to Coral Springs, with the city preparing to transform its gymnasium into a festive village filled with games, music, crafts and plenty of spooky fun.
The city’s annual Thrills & Chills event is set for Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Coral Springs Gymnasium, located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive. The event will be offered in two sessions, from noon to 2 p.m. and again from 3 to 5 p.m.
Organizers are planning a variety of themed areas designed to give children and families different ways to enjoy the afternoon. Guests can move through the Halloween village while taking part in games and crafts, with a DJ providing music during the event.
One of the featured attractions will be a disco room that will be transformed into a glow-in-the-dark dance floor. Guests can put on their costumes, enjoy the music and dance as part of the Halloween celebration.
The city is also making room for visitors who may need a quieter environment. A sensory-friendly area will be available for guests who want to take a break from the sounds and activity inside the gymnasium.
The addition is intended to give people a place to step away from the main event when they need some time in a calmer setting.
Costumes are encouraged for those attending Thrills & Chills, adding to the Halloween atmosphere throughout the gymnasium. Guests will also receive candy bags as they leave, although the bags will only be available while supplies last.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event. The gymnasium’s concession stand will remain open throughout both sessions, allowing families to grab refreshments without having to leave the celebration.
Tickets are $5 per person when purchased in advance. The price increases to $8 on the day of the event, provided tickets are still available.
Because space is limited, the city is encouraging families to purchase tickets ahead of time. Each ticket is valid only for the specific session selected at the time of purchase.
Tickets cannot be transferred between sessions, meaning guests who purchase a ticket for the noon to 2 p.m. session cannot switch it to the 3 to 5 p.m. session.
The two-session format gives families some flexibility when planning their Halloween activities, but the city is reminding residents that attendance remains subject to available space.
With its combination of music, dancing, crafts, games and Halloween-themed activities, Thrills & Chills is designed to offer something for guests of different ages. The sensory-friendly space also provides an option for visitors who may need a break from the noise and crowds.
The Coral Springs Gymnasium will serve as the center of the celebration on Oct. 17, with the Halloween village operating during both scheduled sessions.
More information about the event, including ticket details, is available through the city’s website at CoralSprings.gov/thrillsnchills.
