Coral Springs residents invited to attend free CPR and scam awareness workshops hosted by local organizations this September

Coral Springs, Florida – This September, Coral Springs residents will have the chance to learn lifesaving skills and protect themselves from fraud, thanks to two free safety workshops being offered by local community organizations.
The Rotary Club of Coral Springs, the Veterans Coalition of Coral Springs, and the Coral Springs Community Chest have partnered to host the events, which aim to boost community awareness and safety. Both workshops will take place at Veterans Hall, located at 2503 Coral Springs Drive.
The first session, titled “Save a Life – CPR Training,” is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, from noon to 2 p.m. During this two-hour hands-on session, trained members of the Coral Springs Fire Department will guide attendees through the proper techniques for performing CPR. The goal is to equip everyday citizens with the knowledge to assist in emergency situations before professional help arrives.
The second event, “Protect Against Scammers – Safety Workshop,” will be held a week later on Wednesday, September 17, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Led by officers from the Coral Springs Police Department, this workshop will cover essential tips on how to recognize and avoid scams, fraud attempts, and identity theft. With scams becoming increasingly sophisticated, local law enforcement hopes this session will help residents stay one step ahead of potential criminals.
“These workshops are not just informative—they’re empowering,” said a representative from the Rotary Club of Coral Springs. “Whether it’s learning CPR to help save a life or understanding how to spot a scam, every attendee will walk away with practical knowledge that could make a real difference.”
While both events are completely free, space is limited, and organizers are encouraging those interested to register in advance. To sign up, residents can visit Eventbrite and search for ‘CPR Training’ or ‘Scam Safety Workshop’ in Coral Springs.
By offering these educational opportunities, the partnering organizations hope to strengthen community ties and enhance public safety across the city. It’s part of a broader mission to foster a more resilient and informed Coral Springs.
Residents are encouraged to attend one or both workshops to take full advantage of the resources being made available.
