Make Our Schools Safe donates nearly twelve thousand dollars to boost leadership program at Coral Springs Middle School

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs Middle School has received a generous boost to its leadership education efforts thanks to a significant donation from Make Our Schools Safe (MOSS). On Monday, the nonprofit organization announced it has contributed $11,837 to support the school’s Leader in Me program. This program is designed to equip students with essential leadership skills, encourage personal responsibility, and promote a positive and respectful school environment.

The Leader in Me initiative is more than just a curriculum—it’s a comprehensive approach that helps students build confidence and strong character while fostering a culture where everyone feels valued. “MOSS is committed to creating safe and supportive environments where students can thrive,” said Lori Alhadeff, founder and CEO of the organization. “The Leader in Me program aligns perfectly with our mission by fostering confidence, responsibility, and strong character in our youth.”

This donation reflects MOSS’s broader commitment to improving school safety and enhancing the well-being of students nationwide. By supporting programs like Leader in Me, the organization aims to build a foundation of leadership and empowerment within schools that goes beyond traditional safety measures. Their goal is to nurture protective factors that keep children safe, engaged, and prepared to face challenges both inside and outside the classroom.

At Coral Springs Middle School, the infusion of funds will help expand and strengthen the Leader in Me program, giving students more opportunities to develop critical life skills. The emphasis on leadership is intended to inspire students to take ownership of their behavior, their learning, and their impact on the school community.

As Lori Alhadeff noted, the organization envisions schools as places where every child “feels safe, valued, and empowered.”

This contribution to Coral Springs Middle School is part of a continuing effort by MOSS to promote safe and nurturing schools. Their work highlights the connection between safety and leadership, showing how investing in one can strengthen the other. For the students and staff at Coral Springs Middle School, this donation marks a meaningful step forward in building a community where leadership flourishes and safety is a shared responsibility.
