JP Taravella High School Marching Band provides free gift wrapping at Coral Square Mall to raise funds for students this holiday season

Coral Springs, Florida – Holiday shoppers at Coral Square Mall have a convenient way to get their gifts wrapped this season while supporting local students, thanks to the JP Taravella High School Marching Band and Color Guard. Starting on Black Friday and running through Christmas Eve, the group will operate a gift-wrapping booth near the mall’s food court, offering free wrapping services during regular mall hours.

While shoppers do not have to pay for the wrapping, donations are encouraged. All funds raised through the effort will go directly to supporting the marching band and color guard’s activities, performances, and other program needs. Organizers say the initiative not only helps busy shoppers save time during the hectic holiday season but also provides a meaningful way for the community to contribute to student programs.

“Bringing our volunteers to the mall gives students a chance to interact with the community and raise funds for our band and color guard activities,” said one of the program coordinators. The booth will accept items of all sizes, and volunteers will wrap each gift with care, ensuring shoppers leave with beautifully packaged presents ready for giving.

Shoppers can drop off items at the booth throughout the holiday season and are encouraged to donate what they can to help the students. The initiative has become a seasonal tradition for the JP Taravella Marching Band and Color Guard, giving students valuable experience in customer service, teamwork, and community engagement.

In addition to supporting students, the gift-wrapping booth provides a small but meaningful service for the local community. The timing is ideal for last-minute shoppers, families managing busy schedules, and anyone looking to save time while ensuring their gifts look festive and polished.

Organizers encourage residents to visit the booth at Coral Square Mall during operating hours to take advantage of the service and support the JP Taravella Marching Band and Color Guard. The holiday gift-wrapping effort highlights the band’s commitment to engaging with the community while preparing for upcoming performances and events.

This fundraiser is a reminder that even small acts, like donating for gift wrapping, can have a meaningful impact on students and their extracurricular programs. The JP Taravella Marching Band and Color Guard hope to see the community participate enthusiastically throughout the holiday season.
