Coral Springs holiday parade returns Wednesday and drivers are warned of road closures and parking options

Coral Springs, Florida – The festive spirit is set to fill Coral Springs this Wednesday, December 10, as the city hosts its annual Holiday Parade, one of the most anticipated community events of the year. The celebration will draw thousands of residents and visitors to Sample Road, where the parade will showcase colorful floats, marching bands, and various performers from across the region.

The parade is scheduled to run from 7 to 9 p.m., but city officials are advising residents and drivers that major road closures will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until approximately 10 p.m. “We encourage everyone attending to plan ahead and consider alternate routes,” said city spokespersons, noting that while traffic will be impacted along the parade corridor, neighborhoods will remain accessible to residents.

The main parade route along Sample Road stretches from just west of University Drive to east of NW 110th Avenue. Coral Springs Drive will also be closed to traffic north of Royal Palm Boulevard and south of NW 37th Street. These areas will be limited strictly to pedestrian access during the event, ensuring the safety of attendees and allowing families to enjoy the parade without vehicle interference.

City officials emphasize that personal motorized vehicles, including golf carts, bicycles, scooters, and eBikes, are not permitted within the parade corridor. The only exception applies to micromobility scooters used by individuals with physical disabilities. These measures aim to create a safe and inclusive environment for families, children, and senior residents attending the festivities.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to set up along the parade route, creating a comfortable viewing experience for the two-hour event. “The Coral Springs Holiday Parade is a cherished tradition that brings our community together,” said a city official. “We look forward to seeing families, friends, and visitors enjoying this spectacular evening filled with holiday cheer.”

For those driving to the parade, free parking will be available at the City Hall garage, located conveniently near the parade route. Organizers are reminding drivers to arrive early, as spaces are expected to fill quickly given the large turnout anticipated for this year’s celebration.

Residents and visitors planning to attend are encouraged to check the city’s website for the latest updates on road closures, parking availability, and any additional safety information. With the Holiday Parade returning after another successful year, Coral Springs promises a memorable evening filled with music, lights, and festive excitement for all ages.
