Coral Springs officials announce Pride Promoters Park renovations will be completed by February with new playground and fitness equipment

Coral Springs, Florida – Pride Promoters Park in Coral Springs is set to undergo a major transformation, with city officials estimating that renovation work will be finished by February. The upgrades aim to modernize the park while ensuring safety, inclusivity, and recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
The planned improvements include the installation of a new playground, renovations to the basketball court, and the addition of ADA-compliant hoops and nets. Outdoor fitness equipment will also be added, allowing both younger and older residents to stay active in a safe, accessible environment.
“City officials approved these renovations earlier this year to make the park a more welcoming and enjoyable space for the entire community,” said a spokesperson for the Coral Springs City Commission. The project, located at 4391 Riverside Drive, reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to investing in public spaces that encourage recreation and social connection.
In addition to recreational upgrades, city planners will add a public art installation. The artwork will feature five native Florida animals seated together on a bench, symbolizing unity and connection with nature. Funded separately from the park’s renovation budget, the piece is supported by Coral Springs’ public art fund, which collects fees during permitting for new construction and major renovations.
The financial plan for the renovations includes a total estimated cost of $345,000, with $225,000 provided through a Community Development Block Grant. This federal program supports neighborhood development and housing affordability, reflecting Coral Springs’ broader commitment to enhancing community infrastructure.
Residents are encouraged to anticipate minimal disruption during the construction period, as city officials work to ensure safety around the renovation zones. Once completed, Pride Promoters Park will offer a fresh, inclusive space for outdoor activities, social gatherings, and community events, serving as a centerpiece for local recreation.
City officials have emphasized that the renovations are part of a larger effort to maintain Coral Springs’ reputation as a city that values high-quality public spaces. “These improvements will provide long-term benefits for residents, encouraging healthy lifestyles and community engagement for years to come,” the spokesperson added.
As the completion date approaches in February, the community can look forward to a modernized park that blends recreational innovation with public art, providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone.
