Free career workshops and hiring event set to bring new opportunities to Coral Springs job seekers
Coral Springs, Florida – People searching for new employment opportunities in Coral Springs will soon have a chance to sharpen their skills, update their strategies and connect directly with hiring employers during a series of free events at the Northwest Regional Library later this month.
The library, located at 3151 N. University Drive, is preparing to host two separate job-search workshops on May 27, followed by a career fair the next day that is expected to bring recruiters and employers face-to-face with local job seekers.
As competition in the job market continues to evolve, the workshops are designed to help applicants adapt to modern hiring trends while giving them practical tools they can immediately use in their job hunt.
One of the featured sessions will be presented by AARP and is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on May 27 inside the library’s multipurpose room. Organizers say the workshop will focus on navigating today’s changing employment landscape, particularly for those looking to remain competitive in a technology-driven environment.
Participants attending the session will learn how to improve and “age-proof” their resumes, a growing concern for many experienced workers reentering the workforce or seeking career changes. The workshop will also explore how artificial intelligence is becoming part of modern job searches, including ways applicants can use AI tools to improve resumes, prepare applications and organize their search efforts more efficiently.
In addition, attendees will receive guidance on strengthening networking skills and preparing for interviews — two areas that hiring professionals often describe as critical factors in landing a position.
A second workshop is also planned for May 27, running from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the library’s computer training center. Unlike the first event, this session will place a stronger emphasis on essential job-research techniques, helping participants better understand how to locate openings, navigate online employment platforms and conduct more effective searches.
Both workshops are free to attend, though registration is required due to limited space.
The momentum will continue on May 28 when the Northwest Regional Library hosts a job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the multipurpose room. Recruiters and employers from various industries are expected to attend, offering job seekers an opportunity to meet directly with hiring representatives, ask questions and potentially explore immediate openings.
For many residents, events like these provide more than just information — they offer encouragement during what can often be a stressful and uncertain process. With rising reliance on digital hiring systems and changing workforce demands, community-based workshops and career fairs are increasingly becoming valuable stepping stones for people trying to enter or reenter the workforce.
Organizers encourage attendees to come prepared with resumes, questions and a willingness to network as Coral Springs opens its doors to new employment opportunities next week.
