Coral Springs High School names Adrian Strawbridge as new head cheerleading coach to lead Colts programs during the 2026-27 season

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs High School is preparing for a new chapter in its cheerleading program after announcing the hiring of Adrian Strawbridge as the school’s new head cheerleading coach for the 2026-27 season.

Strawbridge will take over leadership of both the football cheerleading and competitive cheerleading programs, bringing previous coaching experience from Monarch High School. School officials said her background and commitment to athlete development made her a strong choice to guide the Colts as they continue building on their successful tradition.

Coral Springs High School Principal Dwayne Dixon praised Strawbridge’s approach to coaching and leadership, saying her experience and dedication align with the goals of the program.

“Her passion for developing leaders, building champions, and pursuing excellence makes her a perfect fit for Colts Nation,” Principal Dwayne Dixon said.

Strawbridge replaces Amanda Mortimer, who guided the program through a successful 2026 season. Under Mortimer’s leadership, the Colts delivered a strong postseason performance, finishing third at the district championships before advancing to regionals, where they earned a fourth-place finish. That result secured the team’s spot in the State Championships.

The new coach will inherit a program with a long history of achievement. Coral Springs High School has established itself as one of the area’s successful competitive cheerleading programs, collecting multiple championships and consistently competing at a high level.

The Colts have won two state championships throughout the history of the program. In addition, the team has earned two regional championships and five district titles. The program was also recognized as the 2021 UCA Regional Champions and finished as the runner-up at the 2017 NHSCC.

The upcoming season will mark the beginning of a new era for Coral Springs High School cheerleading as Strawbridge works to continue the program’s winning tradition while preparing athletes for future challenges on and off the competition floor.
