Broward Tax Collector to bring convenient driver license and identification services to residents in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek
Coral Springs, Florida – Residents in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek will soon have an opportunity to handle certain driver license and identification card services closer to home, as the Broward County Tax Collector’s Office prepares to bring its Driver Assistance Service Hub program to both communities.
State Rep. Christine Hunschofsky announced the upcoming DASH events, which are designed to provide residents with access to select services without requiring them to travel to a regular tax collector office.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sawgrass Room at Coral Springs City Hall, located at 9500 W. Sample Road.
Residents who need services at the Coral Springs event must make an appointment in advance. The event will offer several transactions related to driver licenses and identification cards, giving local residents an opportunity to take care of common needs in a temporary community-based setting.
A second DASH event will take place in Coconut Creek on Monday, Oct. 19, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the Coconut Creek Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road.
Appointments are also required for the Coconut Creek event. Residents can reserve a time specifically for the services they need through the appointment system provided for the event.
The DASH program, operated by the Broward County Tax Collector’s Office, provides a selection of driver license and identification services at locations outside the agency’s traditional offices. Among the services available through the program are driver license renewals and replacements, address and name changes, and the issuance of identification cards.

The temporary events can be particularly useful for residents who need to complete a routine transaction but may find it difficult to visit a tax collector office during normal operations. By bringing selected services into local communities, the program allows residents to complete eligible transactions in a more convenient setting.
Before attending either event, residents are encouraged to review the Broward County Tax Collector’s documentation requirements for driver license services. Having the correct documents is important because requirements can vary depending on the type of transaction being completed.
Residents should also be aware of the payment options available through DASH. The program accepts credit and debit cards for payment, but cash and checks are not accepted.
Those planning to attend should make an appointment ahead of time and check the documentation requirements before arriving. The Coral Springs and Coconut Creek events are separate appointments, so residents should use the scheduling information for the location they plan to visit.
For Coral Springs residents, appointments are available for the Oct. 16 event at City Hall. Coconut Creek residents can schedule appointments for the Oct. 19 event at the Community Center.
The two upcoming events give residents in both communities another way to access selected driver license and identification services while staying within their local area.
