Coral Springs police arrest woman accused of spitting on T-Mobile employee during confrontation at Coral Square Mall

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs police arrest woman accused of spitting on T-Mobile employee during confrontation at Coral Square Mall – A 44-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly spitting on a T-Mobile employee and making physical contact with store workers during a confrontation at Coral Square Mall, according to a Coral Springs Police Department report.

Anna Corina Albanese was taken into custody on October 6 and charged with two counts of battery and one count of disorderly intoxication in a public place following the incident.

According to police, the confrontation began when Albanese entered the T-Mobile store looking to purchase a new phone. However, what started as a routine customer visit quickly turned into a dispute involving several employees.

An employee told investigators that Albanese initially sat down and requested a new phone. When the worker began asking for her personal information and identification to assist with the purchase, Albanese allegedly threw her identification card onto the table.

The police report states that she then became increasingly rude and confrontational toward the employee.

As the situation continued, the worker asked the store manager to step in and assist with the customer. While the employee was walking away, Albanese allegedly directed an expletive toward her.

The manager attempted to handle the situation, but Albanese reportedly became upset because the original employee was no longer helping her.

The disagreement escalated further as Albanese began leaving the store.

According to investigators, she shoulder-checked an employee while walking toward the exit. Police said she then spat on an employee, with the saliva striking the worker’s left arm and torso.

Before leaving the business, Albanese allegedly shoulder-checked an employee a second time.

Rather than remaining at the store, she continued toward the mall’s food court, according to the report.

Police also noted that Albanese left behind a bottle of Skol vodka inside the T-Mobile location.

When officers attempted to question her about the incident, they reported that she appeared too intoxicated to provide answers or cooperate with their investigation.

The police report did not provide additional information about whether any of the employees required medical attention following the confrontation.

Albanese was subsequently arrested and transported to the Broward County Jail, where she was booked on the battery and disorderly intoxication charges.

The incident resulted in two battery charges stemming from the alleged physical contact with employees, along with the separate disorderly intoxication charge.

Authorities did not provide information about whether Albanese had purchased anything before the confrontation. According to the account provided to police, she left the store without obtaining the new phone she had originally requested.

No bond information was available at the time of the report.

The allegations against Albanese are based on the police report, and the charges do not establish guilt.
