Coral Springs announces Home Alone movie night and school break activities for children

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Springs families will have an opportunity to enjoy a holiday-themed movie night in November, while parents looking for supervised activities during school breaks can take advantage of recreational programs organized by the city.

City officials announced plans for a screening of the holiday comedy Home Alone on Wednesday, November 18, along with the return of Fun Days Off, a program offering activities for elementary school students during scheduled school breaks.

The movie night will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Coral Springs Gymnasium, located at 2501 Coral Springs Drive.

The film will be shown on an inflatable movie screen, creating a family-friendly setting for residents interested in celebrating the approaching holiday season.

Admission costs $5 per person, and tickets are currently available through the city’s movie night registration website.

Families attending the screening are encouraged to bring blankets and wear holiday pajamas to help create a festive atmosphere.

The city will provide complimentary popcorn for guests, while pizza and beverages will be available for purchase at the venue.

Outside food and drinks will not be permitted, so attendees should plan accordingly before arriving.

The event offers families an affordable recreational activity that combines a popular holiday movie with an opportunity to spend time together.

Parents interested in attending are encouraged to review the event information and purchase tickets in advance through the city’s official registration page.

In addition to the movie screening, Coral Springs is promoting its Fun Days Off program, which provides organized recreational activities for children in first through sixth grade.

The program is designed for days when schools are closed during Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks.

Fun Days Off sessions operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at designated city facilities, offering families a structured option for keeping children engaged during school vacations.

Activities include arts and crafts, sports, and other recreational opportunities intended to give participants a variety of ways to spend their time outside the classroom.

Children attending the program must wear sneakers and bring a packed lunch, a snack, and a water bottle each day.

The city offers registration opportunities for both Coral Springs residents and families living outside the city.

However, registration dates and participation fees vary depending on the specific program, making it important for parents to review the available sessions before enrolling their children.

City officials encourage early registration, particularly for families who need to arrange activities around school holiday schedules.

The combination of the November movie night and school break programming gives Coral Springs families several opportunities to participate in city-organized recreation during the coming months.

More information about the children’s programs, including registration details, is available at CoralSprings.gov/fundays.
