Two vehicles crashed after attempting to pass around a school bus in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — According to the reports from the police in Boynton Beach, a collision occurred between a truck and a vehicle as the drivers were attempting to unlawfully pass around a stopped school bus.

On Monday morning, a school bus traveling southbound on Lawrence Rd. reportedly stopped at a bus stop, and the stop signs on the bus were out.

The red pickup truck was reportedly traveling northbound on Lawrence Rd. when it attempted to go around the school bus, according to the police. At the same moment, a Dodge Charger driving southbound on Lawrence Rd. attempted to turn left into a neighborhood by going around the bus.

After colliding with the other car, the red truck went on to sideswipe the school bus.

According to the police, children were in the process of boarding the bus, but none of them were on board when the collision occurred.
