Four people injured after a boat explosion in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Over the weekend, a security camera recorded the moment an explosion occurred in the marina of Halifax Harbor.

According to the fire officials, the explosion took place not long after the boats refilled their tanks.

There were four people who suffered injuries as a result of the incident, one of whom needed to be evacuated to a hospital in Orlando for treatment of severe burns.

Vincent Kraus, an eyewitness, said that the explosion took place at around one p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

“We were on our way to help them to make sure everything was okay, but rescue got there before us,” said Kraus.

The owner reported to the firemen that the vent blowers had been running at the time of the incident.

The investigation is still underway.
