Florida Lottery confirms $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold at Boca Raton Publix

Boca Raton, Florida – A lucky shopper at a Florida Publix has hit a financial jackpot, winning $1 million from a Mega Millions ticket purchased at the grocery store. The win has brought a wave of excitement to the community, especially for those who frequent the Publix at 4141 North Federal Highway in Boca Raton, where the winning ticket was sold.

The draw that changed the life of one Floridian took place on Friday night, with the winning numbers being 3, 8, 31, 35, 44, and the Mega Ball 16. This win is part of a larger pattern, as tickets worth $1 million were also sold across California, Illinois, Nebraska, and Texas during the same draw. Additionally, a player in Virginia saw their fortune increase to $3 million thanks to the Megaplier option.

However, the grand prize still remains up for grabs. Friday’s drawing did not produce a winner for the jackpot, which means the prize will soar to an estimated $1.1 billion. This staggering amount comes after more than three months without a jackpot winner, the last being on December 8.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are slim, with a 1 in 302.6 million chance of victory. Despite the long odds, the excitement of potentially winning such a massive prize keeps players coming back.

Mega Millions tickets are available for $2 and can be purchased in 45 states, including Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
