Two Miami-Dade officers suffered stab wounds after responding to a report

Two officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department were taken to a hospital with stab wounds following an incident that occurred in the northwest part of Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Police Department officers rushed to the 300 block of Northwest 157th Street after receiving reports of a man making threats with a knife, according to the department. As soon as the officers entered the area, they were attacked by the man.

While one female officer was stabbed in the arm and neck, another male officer sustained lacerations in the arm.

Both officers, whose identities were not made public, are listed in stable condition at the Ryder Trauma Center.

The unidentified suspect was taken into custody.
