Boat fire in Aventura left one individual injured

AVENTURA, Fla. – According to the Aventura Police Department, a boat fire that occurred on Friday evening in the city of Aventura resulted in the injury of one individual.

A boat was on fire in the vicinity of 1520 Island Blvd., and crews from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the scene.

Shortly after 7:20 o’clock in the evening, the MDFR’s active calls record revealed that dispatch had sent out 20 units.

According to Darrel Price, who was observing the incident from his window on Friday, he could see thick smoke rising from the Maule Lake.

Another Aventura homeowner who lives close to the Admirals Port Condominium saw the alarming black smoke that was in the area.
