West Perrine murder victim ID’d by authorities

WEST PERRINE, Fla. – Javonte Summers was identified as a murder victim by the Miami-Dade Police Department on Friday.

Thursday’s deadly shooting in West Perrine has prompted Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Detectives were looking into the death of Summers near the corner of Southwest 107 Avenue and 177 Street.

Summers’s LinkedIn profile had a picture of him in a cap and gown, which showed that he was a member of the Class of 2020 at Miami Southridge Senior High School.

The officers urged anybody with information on the case to contact Crime Stoppers of Miami-Dade County at 305-471-8477.
