One person hospitalized after dump truck falls into canal in Loxahatchee

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla.  — On Thursday morning in Loxahatchee, a dump truck went off the road and ended up in a canal, which resulted in the hospitalization of one person.

At around eight in the morning, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units were sent to the area along Collecting Canal Road where the incident occurred.

The PBCFR reports that employees put oil and hydrocarbon fluid-absorbing booms in the canal in attempt to collect contaminants and prevent future pollution.

The patient was taken by ambulance to a medical facility for examination.

There was no new information that could be obtained right away.
