Fire crews put out a fire in Punta Gorda condominiums

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Emerald Pointe Condominiums, which can be found at 25188 Marion Avenue, have been confirmed to be experiencing an active fire by Charlotte County Fire.

They received the call at about six in the morning on Friday.

Both the Punta Gorda Police Department and the Charlotte County Fire Department responded to the incident.

At the time of the incident, the owners of the two apartments were not present because, according to a representative for Charlotte County Fire, they were out of town.

The fire is now under control, but the firefighters are still trying to put it completely out.

A fireman from the Punta Gorda Fire Department was sent to the hospital for further treatment.

At this time, there have been no reports of any more injuries.
