14-year-old student struck by a vehicle in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — On Monday morning in Port St. Lucie, a 14-year-old high school student from St. Lucie County was struck by a vehicle, according to the authorities.

According to the police, the collision took place near the intersection of Crosstown Parkway and Southwest Cameo Boulevard. This location of the accident is very close to both St. Lucie West Centennial High School and St. Lucie West K-8 School.

The teenager was reportedly crossing the street when a white van struck her, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

The student had head injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was flown to a nearby hospital. According to the latest information, she is listed as being in a stable condition.

An initial investigation showed the driver was not at fault. They remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
