Public help needed in locating a missing toddler

Boca Raton, Florida – Data shows that around 2,300 children go missing every day in our country, and in Florida, over 25,000 incidents of missing children were reported in 2021 alone. While missing children are often found very quickly, there are also some open cases of missing children.

Cooperation between the public and authorities is critical in locating children safely and as quickly as possible.

A child was reported missing from Boca Raton, and the authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in finding the toddler.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Missing Child Alert for 1-year-old Gabriel Ristick, who was last seen in the 6000 block of west Glades Road, near the Town Center at Boca Raton mall.

Authorities said that the last time the toddler was seen, he was dressed in a black hoodie and blue jeans. They also provided a description of Gabriel, saying he has blonde hair and brown eyes, is 2′ 5’’ tall, and weighs 30 pounds.

The FDLE has a strong suspicion that Gabriel Ristick is with Vinie Ristick, 20, who is described as being 5′ 6″ tall, weighing 220 pounds, and wearing blue jeans and a gray polo shirt. It is possible that both of them are traveling in a gray Chrysler Town & Country minivan with an Illinois license plate DQ83169.

Information about the relationship between Gabriel and Vinie was not made public.

Anyone who might have information that will help authorities locate the 1-year-old boy is urged to call the Boca Raton Police Department at 561-368-6201 or the FDLE Missing and Endangered Persons hotline at 1-800-FLMISSING.
