Nearly 30 Cuban migrants taken into custody in Florida Keys by U.S. Border Patrol agents

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – More than two dozen Cuban migrants were caught by U.S. Border Patrol agents on Friday morning when they arrived in the Florida Keys.

Chief Patrol Agent Walter N. Slosar said that after a long search, agents caught 29 Cuban migrants.

The group will likely be sent back to Cuba.

Since October 1, 2022, Coast Guard crews have stopped 5,557 Cubans who were trying to reach the United States by sea.
