Police seek public’s help in identifying suspect in Pompano Beach shooting

Pompano Beach, Florida – Authorities are in the midst of an intense search for the individual who recklessly fired multiple rounds at a man, inflicting serious and potentially life-threatening injuries, in Pompano Beach. The shooting was captured on a surveillance camera.

On Tuesday, December 13th, at approximately 6:33 p.m., Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) deputies were summoned to the area between W McNab Road and Gateway Drive on SW 30th Avenue in response to a shooting. The victim was discovered at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, and was promptly transported by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue to a nearby hospital.

The Violent Crimes Unit was dispatched to the scene to investigate the horrific incident. After examining the surveillance footage, detectives were able to identify the perpetrator as a male individual wearing light-colored clothing and a white face mask. He was seen walking past the victim and another man in a parking lot before returning and opening fire. The victim was struck multiple times, including when they were down on the ground, before the assailant fled the scene.

It is crucial that anyone with any information that may lead to the capture of the suspect come forward and share it with the authorities.
