Investigation underway as missing Broward County woman found dead

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – In an update provided by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the body of a woman, who had been reported missing two days prior, have now been discovered.

The deceased woman, identified as 70-year-old Caroline Woolery-Walters, was located following a tip-off to the sheriff’s office on Thursday, around 5:30 p.m. The informant reported a body in the river near the 1500 block of SW 4th Street, Fort Lauderdale.

The circumstances surrounding Woolery-Walters’ death remain unclear. Investigators have yet to determine or announce whether her demise involved any suspicious activities. She was initially reported missing on Wednesday, in the vicinity of 300 Terminal Drive at the Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport.

Further details regarding the cause of the woman’s death have yet to be shared by the officials. As the investigation progresses, more information is expected to be released.
