Spectacular fireworks and more: Fourth of July celebrations in South Florida

Florida – As the Fourth of July approaches, you might be contemplating the best places to view the fireworks, in addition to donning your patriotic attire. Allow us to guide you through various locations in Miami-Dade, Broward, and the Florida Keys, all offering distinct Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday, July 4. Unless otherwise mentioned, these events are complimentary.

In Miami-Dade County, Aventura features a drone light show and fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. This spectacle is set to occur along Country Club Drive over the Turnberry golf course, which is adjacent to and behind the Aventura Mall at Northeast 195th Street off Biscayne Boulevard.

Downtown Miami celebrates Independence Day with a blend of performances by Marger, Genesis Diaz, Roxy Nodarse, and the Symphony Youth Orchestra. The event begins at 4 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m., with fireworks commencing at 9 p.m. You can partake in these festivities at Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd. in downtown Miami.

In Coconut Grove, a unique event featuring a performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, a plastic-free picnic contest, and a drone show is planned, thanks to the city of Miami and the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at Peacock Park, 2820 McFarlane Rd., Miami.

Coral Gables offers an evening of elegance at The Biltmore Hotel, with a concert and fireworks on the hotel’s lawn. You’re invited to bring along beach chairs and blankets for comfort, and there will be food trucks and vendors available. The grounds open at 5 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m. The fireworks will light up the sky at 9 p.m., lasting approximately 20 minutes. The venue for this event is the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables.

Despite tickets for the Independence Day Celebration at the Trump National Doral Golf Club being sold out, a 20-minute fireworks show will be live-streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube Live by the city of Doral at 9:20 p.m.

In Broward County, the city of Fort Lauderdale will be holding a beach party headlined by Flo Rida. The event, filled with contests, family activities, and beach games, will also feature hot dog and pie-eating contests. As the sun sets, live music will set the tone for the fireworks display that commences at 8:45 p.m.

Turning to the Florida Keys, the city of Islamorada will be hosting a celebration with fireworks, food trucks, music, an apple pie baking contest, and a ‘Patriotic People and Pets’ parade and costume contest.

In Key West, a series of events are scheduled from June 30 to July 4 as part of the Key Lime Festival. Activities include pie-baking classes, lime rum tasting, bike tours of old Key West, and a Key Lime pie-eating contest.
