Broward County Transit streamlines hiring process with one-day event

Broward County, Florida – Broward County Transit (BCT) is hosting a unique one-day hiring event for bus operators, promising potential candidates an expedited hiring process. Unlike the traditional recruitment process, which typically extends over several weeks, this event aims to accelerate the procedure to a single day, potentially offering successful applicants a job on the spot.
This hiring event provides attendees with an opportunity to submit applications and undergo interviews on the same day. Those selected may receive an immediate employment offer, reflecting the urgency and efficiency of this recruitment drive.
Furthermore, the event offers prospective applicants a chance to explore the city’s new fleet of electric buses. They will also have the opportunity to engage with county trainers, supervisors, and current bus operators to gain further insights into the job role.
BCT General Manager and Director of Transportation, Coree Cuff Lonergan, invites community members to consider joining the BCT team. She highlighted the attractive benefits package, paid training, comprehensive wellness programming, and full-time positions offered by BCT.
The event is slated for Friday, August 4, and will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Urban League of Broward County, 560 NW 25th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
