Missing teen from Deerfield Beach reunited with family

Deerfield Beach, Florida – The Broward Sheriff’s Office has successfully located Xantavia Smart, a 15-year-old from Deerfield Beach who was previously reported missing.

Authorities appealed to the public previously for assistance in their efforts to locate her. They said Ms. Smart was last seen on the 200 block of Northeast 39th Court, approximately at 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

For identification purposes, they also described her as being approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing roughly 150 pounds, and having both brown hair and eyes. On the day she went missing, she was clothed in a blue sweater, a white shirt, and blue jeans.

According to her family’s statement, Ms. Smart has a mental health condition for which she requires consistent medication. She is now safely reunited with her family.
