City of Coral Springs to host Fourth of July celebration at Mullins Park

Coral Springs, Florida – Coral Spring residents are invited to celebrate Independence Day at Mullins Park on Thursday, July 4, 2024. The festivities will begin at 5 p.m. and culminate in a fireworks ceremony at 8:45 p.m., weather permitting. Admission and parking for the event are free.

Live Entertainment and Activities

The celebration will feature live music on the center stage, with the Remix Band performing hits to keep the crowd dancing all night. In addition to music, there will be various fun and patriotic contests throughout the evening:

  • 6:30 p.m. – Star Spangled Musical Chairs Contest (Kids only)
  • 6:45 p.m. – Inflatable Character Obstacle Course
  • 7:45 p.m. – Red Solo Cup Relay Race (21+)

The event will also include a Fun Zone with inflatables, a Toddler Zone, a photobooth, a temporary tattoo station, and other family-friendly activities. The Fun Zone inflatables will be powered down at 8:30 p.m. sharp.

Child Safety and Registration

Families are encouraged to pick up a child safety wristband at any city tent upon arrival. These wristbands will include the parent’s phone number to help emergency personnel and city staff if a child and parent become separated.

Coral Springs residents can sign up for Express Lane access at the Fun Zone’s Express Lane Check-In tent by showing a valid Coral Springs address on their ID.

Food and Beverages

A variety of food trucks and vendors will be available throughout the event, including popular options like Auntie Anne’s, BC Tacos, Cherry Smash, Mr. Meatball, and many more. Onsite adult beverages can be purchased and consumed in designated areas at Fields 7 and 8.

Parking and Traffic

Parking at the event is free but limited, so attendees are encouraged to carpool or walk if they live nearby. Expect traffic delays along Coral Springs Drive, which will shut down in both directions starting at 6 p.m. There will also be delays around 9 p.m. as attendees exit the event.
