Zachary Zub, a former player from J.P. Taravella, makes history with a remarkable goal in collegiate soccer

Coral Springs, Florida – Zachary Zub, a former soccer standout from J.P. Taravella, has achieved a remarkable season at Delaware Valley University.

Following his participation in four games during his freshman year, Zub stepped into a significant role last season, featuring in 18 games and earning four starting positions. He netted two goals, one of which was the decisive header against the nationally ranked-Lebanon Valley.

Zub netted his inaugural career goal in college during a match against Valley Forge, contributing to his team’s achievement of a program-record nine victories. He expressed that being part of the most successful period in the school’s history is incredibly meaningful.

“I felt a tremendous sense of pride in supporting my teammates, particularly the seniors, at such a crucial moment, and it was reassuring to realize our ability to compete at that level,” Zub stated. “We have established a new benchmark for our efforts and are eager to advance from here.”

A native of Coral Springs, he started playing soccer at the age of nine and joined a travel soccer team five years later. He began his journey at Kaptiva Soccer Academy and has been with Shulz Academy for the past three years. He was a member of the J.P. Taravella soccer team.

Zub was recognized as the 2022 United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete of the Year during high school for exemplifying courage, poise, self-confidence, and leadership as a varsity athlete. He has been recognized on the MAC Honor Roll and is presently pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
