Firefighters fight fires on Broward Boulevard

Broward County, Florida – Early on Monday morning, Broward firefighters fought a fire at an abandoned company on Broward Boulevard.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office reports that firefighters were called to a fire at a vacant shop at 2887 W. Broward Blvd. in Central Broward at approximately 6:15 a.m.

Firefighters reported seeing smoke and flames visible through a window of the vacant establishment when they arrived.

After about thirty firefighters arrived on the scene, the fire was swiftly contained and put out in five minutes, stopping it from spreading to nearby buildings in the strip mall.

Thankfully, no injuries were recorded.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been brought in to conduct more inquiry into the fire’s cause.
