Two bodies were discovered within the JetBlue plane’s landing gear at FLL
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Following a flight late Monday, JetBlue said that two passengers were discovered deceased within the landing gear compartment of one of its aircraft.
During the “routine post-flight maintenance inspection,” the discovery was made at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to the firm. “The people’s names and the circumstances surrounding their access to the aircraft are still being investigated at this time.
According to JetBlue, the plane most recently flew on flight 1801 from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
Outside the airport, deputies and medical examiners from the Broward Sheriff’s Office were spotted looking into the deaths.
According to the airport, the incident has not affected operations.
