Coral Springs pet registration is made easier by a New County Animal Care Program
Coral Springs, Florida – The new Tags for Life program, which Broward County Animal Care announced on Tuesday, makes it simpler for Coral Springs pet owners to abide by the county rule that requires them to register their dogs, cats, and ferrets.
According to an announcement made by animal care officials, the new initiative will remove the requirement for pet owners to change their creatures’ registration tags annually.
Pet owners will still be required to pay the yearly registration cost, though. These costs are $25 for dogs who have been sterilized and $55 for those that have not. Neutered cats pay $15 to register, while unsterilized cats pay $30.
Every dog, cat, and ferret in the county must be vaccinated against rabies according to county legislation. Registration tags are only given to pets once they have been vaccinated. Dogs and cats are required by law to wear the tags on their collars.
According to the animal care website, immunization prevents residents, their pets, and other animals from catching rabies, which is fatal to both humans and animals.
According to officials, the registration tag is also the greatest way to guarantee that misplaced pets are reunited with their pet parents.
The Broward County Animal Care shelter uses the money collected from the registration fee to provide food and care for its animals.
