Brad McKeone was promoted to Deputy City Manager, and Brad Mock was appointed as the next Coral Springs Police Chief

Coral Springs, Florida – Brad McKeone, who was elevated to deputy city manager, has been replaced as Coral Springs’ new chief of police by Brad Mock.
According to city spokesperson Lynne Martzall, Mock received an offer from City Manager Catherine Givens on January 10.
According to Martzall’s email, Mock will “publicly lay out his plans for the organization and reaffirm his commitment to the community and members of the department” at a formal transfer of command ceremony scheduled for March.
In 1998, Mock started working as a patrol officer for the Coral Springs Police Department. He spent three years in the department’s tactical and gang unit after joining it in 2004. In 2007, he was elevated to sergeant and now oversees patrol, the K-9 unit, and the tactical and gang unit.
In 2010, he advanced to the rank of lieutenant, where he was in charge of patrol, and later that year, he was made captain.
Mock, who joined SWAT in 2000, served as commander from 2012 to 2022.
In addition to heading the criminal investigations section, which comprised property crimes, economic crimes, and crimes against persons, he was also in charge of units including street intelligence, strategic enforcement, K-9, motorcycles, BEAR, and VIN.
Mock will assemble his leadership team in the upcoming weeks, assuming positions like captain, major, and deputy chief.
Martzall continued, “He is looking forward to meeting with police department staff to hear feedback on their areas of operation, as well as other departments within our organization, even though he does not anticipate making any major changes to the command structure.”
