Residents of Parkland and Coral Springs can now enroll in community emergency response team training

Coral Springs, Florida – Residents of Coral Springs are encouraged to participate in disaster preparedness training designed to provide them with the skills they need to help their communities in times of need by the Coral Springs Parkland Community Emergency Response Team program.
Disaster preparedness, fire safety, CERT organization, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, triage, disaster psychology, and counterterrorism are among the important subjects covered in the program.
On February 1, 8, 15, and 22, there will be in-person classes and on-demand learning from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Residents will have the chance to join the local CERT team and respond to crises after successfully completing the training and meeting the necessary requirements.
