Coral Springs assists Bank of America in securing a new event parking agreement next to Cornerstone Complex, but there is a fee

Coral Springs, Florida – A deal between municipal officials and Bank of America may soon provide Coral Springs residents who are having trouble finding parking in the city’s recently renovated downtown district another choice.

However, parking at 3200 University Drive, the bank’s parking lot, is not free.

At a recent city commission meeting, City Manager Catherine Givens made the announcement, stating that specific areas in the bank’s private lot will be open to the public for events, such as the city’s upcoming Blarney Bash in March, which will celebrate Irish culture on the adjacent City Hall Lawn.

Although the precise cost has not yet been decided, the bank plans to charge for parking.

The action was taken in response to several complaints from locals who had their cars hauled from the lot after the December holiday parade in Coral Springs and other busy evenings.

Concern over parking has grown in the neighborhood, particularly after Tacocraft, a new restaurant in the Cornerstone development, opened. This has raised demand for parking spaces at or close to the establishment.

Although city officials encourage the use of ridesharing services, they also remind people that there is free parking available at the nearby municipal garage, which is open until midnight.
