Coral Springs police arrest woman for DUI after multi-car accident on North State Road 7 injures two and causes significant property damage

Coral Springs, Florida – A 62-year-old woman was arrested for driving under the influence after a three-car crash on North State Road 7 in Coral Springs on March 7. Deborah Butalewicz, a resident of Boca Raton, was taken into custody after police officers found signs of intoxication at the scene of the accident.

When officers arrived, they noticed Butalewicz exhibiting several indicators of being under the influence, including slurred speech, red and watery eyes, and difficulty maintaining her balance. Additionally, the smell of alcohol was detected on her breath. Despite initially denying that she had been drinking, Butalewicz later admitted to having consumed two glasses of wine prior to the crash.

Butalewicz is expected to appear in court for the charges in the coming weeks as the legal proceedings move forward.
