Police arrest Coral Springs resident after finding large stash of cocaine and marijuana in his vehicle during routine traffic stop

Coral Springs, Florida – A Coral Springs man was arrested after a traffic stop on March 14 led to the discovery of a large stash of drugs in his car, including cocaine and over 100 grams of marijuana. The 29-year-old man, identified as Andrew Reynoso, now faces multiple felony charges related to drug possession and intent to sell.
The incident took place around 1:42 AM when Coral Springs police were conducting surveillance in a commercial parking lot near 10365 Royal Palm Boulevard. Officers reportedly observed Reynoso engaged in what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction, which led them to suspect he was involved in illegal activity. After identifying Reynoso as the driver of a white Toyota Camry with a suspended license, the police decided to stop the vehicle.
Upon approaching the car, officers immediately detected the smell of marijuana coming from inside, prompting further investigation. The officers confirmed the presence of marijuana, and a K9 unit was called to the scene. The K9’s alert to narcotics gave the officers probable cause to search the vehicle, and what they found was substantial.
Inside Reynoso’s car, officers discovered four plastic baggies containing a white powdery substance, which was later confirmed to be 4.18 grams of cocaine. Nearby, a scale was found, which is commonly used to weigh drugs. Additionally, officers uncovered 106.86 grams of marijuana in several bags, along with empty plastic baggies often used for packaging narcotics for distribution. The search also revealed more bags of suspected marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle.
Field tests conducted by the officers confirmed the substances to be cocaine and marijuana, strengthening the case against Reynoso. He was arrested on the spot and is now facing several serious charges. These include possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cannabis, and driving with a suspended license without knowledge.
Reynoso was booked into the Broward County Jail following his arrest. Authorities have made it clear that the discovery of such a large amount of drugs in his vehicle is significant, as it suggests Reynoso may have been involved in drug trafficking operations. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of local law enforcement to crack down on drug-related crimes in the community.
The Coral Springs Police Department continues to investigate the case, and Reynoso’s arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance in preventing drug trafficking and ensuring public safety.
