Local business owners gather to celebrate teachers and support local journalism

Coral Springs, Florida – This week, more than 20 local business owners gathered at 360F Specialty Coffee Roasters for an event designed to build connections, celebrate local journalism, and, most importantly, support teachers in the community.

Tamara Lobban, owner of Legacy Prime Realty and director of TLC4TEACHERS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting educators facing financial or personal hardships, took a moment to express gratitude. “We are all about supporting teachers, and we thank you for your support,” she said, acknowledging the role of local businesses in strengthening community ties and making a real difference in the lives of those who teach.

The gathering offered more than just a chance for socializing and expressing gratitude; it also provided an opportunity for attendees to actively engage in efforts to support teachers. Local business owners mingled, exchanged ideas, and participated in a heartfelt gesture by signing posters with encouraging messages for area teachers. These posters will be delivered to local schools by TLC4TEACHERS, further solidifying the connection between businesses and the educators they aim to support.

The event took place at 360F’s stylish showroom, with owner Juan Calderon offering tours of the facility while expertly making espresso for the guests. Calderon’s warm hospitality, coupled with the delicious food and drinks provided by local eateries like That’s a Wrap Sandwich Co., Cookiehead Bakery, Bageland, 3 Natives, Crave Poké Asian-Fusion Kitchen, and Cecilie’s Gourmet Italian Ices, created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt at home.

Fooksman shared that the first Advertiser Appreciation Meetup would not be the last. “We’ll be doing this again very soon,” he told the group, emphasizing the importance of maintaining these community connections. “Our readers and community thank you.”

The event was a perfect blend of business, community support, and fun. As local business owners and supporters of the community came together to thank teachers and strengthen local journalism, the evening underscored the power of collaboration and the importance of supporting those who make a difference every day.
