Two North Springs Little League teams earn important victories at State Tournament while representing the league with strong postseason performances

Coral Springs, Florida – Two North Springs Little League teams recently competed against some of the best youth baseball programs in the state, and both squads came away with victories during their tournament appearances.

The North Springs Intermediate (50/70) team and Juniors (13U) team each represented the league at the State Tournament, showing strong performances despite falling short of championship runs.

The Intermediate team delivered one of the strongest tournament showings for North Springs, finishing with a 2-1 record. The team earned wins against NOL Little League and Manatee West Little League, demonstrating its ability to compete at the highest level of youth baseball competition.

North Springs’ only defeat in the tournament came against Windermere Little League. Despite ending the event with a winning record, the team was eliminated after finishing tied in the standings. The final decision came down to the tournament’s runs-against tiebreaker.

Although the result ended their postseason journey, the Intermediate team’s performance highlighted the competitiveness and determination of the players throughout the tournament.

The North Springs Juniors (13U) team also battled through a challenging schedule at states, finishing with a 1-2 record. The team earned its tournament victory against Zephyrhills Little League, while its two losses came against Dr. Phillips Little League and Lake Mary Little League.

The Juniors reached the State Tournament after an impressive postseason run that began with a District Championship victory over Parkland Little League. The team then advanced through the Section Tournament in Cutler Bay, where it showed resilience and composure under pressure.

In the opening game of the Section Tournament, North Springs rallied for a 6-5 victory to keep its championship hopes alive. The team followed that performance with a dominant showing in the championship game, earning a 10-3 win to secure its place in the State Tournament.

While the Juniors’ state tournament run came to an end, their journey through district and section competition marked a successful postseason effort for the program.

North Springs Little League still has one team competing in postseason play. The league’s 11U squad remains in contention after winning its District Championship.

The 11U team is scheduled to begin play in the Section Tournament on July 17. With another opportunity ahead, the team will look to continue North Springs’ strong postseason showing and compete for a chance to reach the State Tournament.

The recent performances from the Intermediate and Juniors teams have highlighted the strength of North Springs Little League and the dedication of its players, coaches, and families. With one team still fighting for a spot at states, the league’s postseason success is continuing into the summer.
