11U team caps historic summer for North Springs Little League with state tournament run and record-breaking postseason success
Coral Springs, Florida – The North Springs Little League 11U team has closed out one of the most memorable summers in the program’s history, earning a place among the league’s top achievements by advancing to the State Tournament.
The team’s postseason journey highlighted an impressive year for North Springs Little League, which celebrated four district championships and three state tournament appearances across multiple age groups. The success reflected the strength and depth of the program, from its youngest players competing for championships to older teams making deep postseason runs.
For the 11U squad, the road to states began with a dominant district tournament performance. North Springs outscored its opponents 30-8 while capturing the District Championship, showing strong pitching, timely hitting, and consistent team play throughout the competition.
The team continued its postseason push during the sectional tournament, earning back-to-back victories by scores of 4-3 and 3-2. Those wins secured North Springs a spot in the Florida State Tournament and marked the third time in league history that an 11U team had reached that stage.
North Springs opened state tournament play with a dramatic comeback victory against Dr. Phillips Little League. After falling behind 3-0, the team responded with four unanswered runs to earn a 4-3 win.

The comeback started in the third inning when North Springs scored twice before adding one run in both the fourth and fifth innings to complete the turnaround.
Victor Garcia, Liam Budd, Benjamin Gutierrez, and Noah Brea each contributed an RBI during the victory. On the mound, Jack Gardner delivered a standout performance, throwing a complete game and allowing no earned runs to help secure the opening-round win.
The tournament run continued with a close and emotional matchup against Lakewood Ranch Little League. North Springs built a strong 6-1 advantage, but Lakewood Ranch mounted a comeback by scoring six unanswered runs, including three runs in the final inning to take a 7-6 victory.
Budd, Gutierrez, Liam Rose, and Brea each recorded an RBI in the contest, while Cole Edgos pitched a complete game and allowed only three earned runs.
North Springs’ state tournament appearance came to an end following a 16-0 loss to St. Mary’s Little League. Wyatt Zadrazil recorded the team’s only hit in the game, but the season remained a significant accomplishment for a group that had already made history.
The success was not limited to the 11U team. North Springs’ Intermediate (50/70) team also earned a trip to the state tournament after defeating Parkland Little League to win the District Championship.
During sectionals in Cutler Bay, the team showed resilience by rallying for a 6-5 opening victory before securing the championship with a convincing 10-3 win. At the State Tournament, the team finished with a 1-2 record, earning its victory against Zephyrhills Little League.
The North Springs Juniors (13U) team also continued its strong postseason performance. After winning the District Championship, including a victory over Fort Lauderdale, the team dominated sectional competition against Doral with back-to-back shutout victories of 10-0 and 17-0.
At the State Tournament, North Springs defeated North Oakland Little League and Manatee West Little League before falling to Windermere Little League. Despite finishing 2-1 and tying for first place, the team was eliminated based on the runs-against tiebreaker.
Other North Springs teams also enjoyed successful seasons. The 10U team advanced to the district tournament before being eliminated by Fort Lauderdale, while the 12U team’s postseason ended against Coconut Creek. The Seniors team reached the district championship game and finished as runner-up to Deerfield Beach.
The league’s youngest players also celebrated a championship season. The 8U team captured the District Championship after victories over Coconut Creek, Coral Springs American, Deerfield Beach, and Parkland Little League. The team finished its championship run with an 11-5 victory over Parkland in the title game.
Following a summer filled with accomplishments, North Springs Little League is already preparing for the next season. Registration for the upcoming fall season remains open through July 31, providing families with one final opportunity to join the program.
