Yeshua’s Sanctuary brings expanded autism services and a nonprofit K-12 school to Coral Springs with individualized support for families
Coral Springs, Florida – A new organization in Coral Springs is bringing together education, therapy, and family support with the opening of Yeshua’s Sanctuary, a facility designed to serve children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Located at 1700 North University Drive, Suites 200 and 220, Yeshua’s Sanctuary has opened two new offices offering a combination of autism services, applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy, and a nonprofit K-12 school focused on individualized learning.
The organization was founded by Maria Luz Hernandez, known as “Luz,” inspired by her own experience as the parent of a neurodivergent child. After struggling to find services that fully embraced and supported children like her son, Yeshua, Hernandez decided to create a place where children could receive care while being recognized for their unique strengths and abilities.
The mission behind the organization is centered on respect, acceptance, and helping children reach their potential without requiring them to fit into a specific mold.
“Yeshua’s Sanctuary was founded based on Luz’s firsthand experiences with the challenges of finding services that truly embraced and celebrated neurodivergent children,” Brianna Vella, Director of Operations, told Coral Springs Talk. “Yeshua inspired Luz to create a place where children are respected for who they are, where learning is individualized, and where families feel genuinely supported.”
Rather than focusing only on changing behaviors, Yeshua’s Sanctuary emphasizes helping children develop skills, confidence, and independence while celebrating their individuality.
“Rather than focusing on making children fit into the world, our mission is to provide them with the tools, confidence, and support they need to thrive while honoring their individuality,” Vella said.
The center’s approach combines educational programs and therapeutic services in one location. Officials say the goal is to make support easier for families by reducing the need to coordinate multiple providers in different places.
The nonprofit K-12 learning center provides individualized instruction in small classroom settings for students with autism and related disabilities. Each classroom is supported by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and includes personalized learning plans designed around each student’s needs.
The school environment incorporates sensory supports, visual schedules, movement breaks, and evidence-based teaching strategies. These tools are intended to create a structured but flexible setting where students can learn comfortably and successfully.
Beyond the school program, Yeshua’s Sanctuary offers ABA therapy in several settings, including the clinic, homes, schools, and community environments. Additional services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral assessments, parent training, early intervention services, social skills instruction, and customized treatment plans.
The learning center currently serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade, while therapy programs are available for individuals starting at approximately age 2 and continuing through adulthood.
According to Vella, the combination of educational and therapeutic support is one of the organization’s biggest differences.
“What makes Yeshua’s Sanctuary unique is that we combine high-quality education and therapy under one roof while maintaining a child-centered, family-focused philosophy,” Mrs. Vella said. “We prioritize dignity, compassion, play-based learning, and individualized instruction rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.”
Families seeking educational services may be able to use Step Up For Students scholarships. For ABA therapy, Yeshua’s Sanctuary is currently in-network with Cigna and Aetna and is working toward completing credentialing with Medicaid and Tricare East.
The organization also helps families explore additional funding options and scholarship opportunities to make services more accessible.
Since opening, Yeshua’s Sanctuary has received a positive response from families in Coral Springs and surrounding communities. Many parents have expressed excitement about having educational and therapeutic resources available together in one location.
“The response from the Coral Springs community has been overwhelmingly positive,” she said. “Families have expressed excitement about having a place where education and therapeutic services are available together in one location.”
The organization is currently accepting enrollment applications for both its K-12 learning center and ABA therapy programs.
