Collision in Lehigh Acres leaves motorcyclist dead

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A 21-year-old motorcycle rider was killed in an accident in Lehigh Acres at 2:36 p.m. today.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at Jaguar Boulevard and Hargrove Avenue S. Both the motorcycle and the car were going east on Jaguar, with the motorcycle behind the automobile.

The car slowed to make a left turn onto Hargrove Avenue. The motorcycle then tried to pass the car on the sedan’s left side, resulting in a collision.

On arrival, the biker was declared dead. The sedan’s driver incurred minor injuries. FHP continues to investigate.
