Coral Springs is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Monument Award, aimed at recognizing local leaders or organizations that exemplify Dr. King’s principles
Coral Springs, Florida – Nominations for the 2025 Coral Springs MLK Monument Award are now being accepted by the Coral Springs Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee.
According to a statement from city authorities, the esteemed award is given each year to a person or group in the Coral Springs community that exemplifies Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s values of equality, togetherness, freedom of expression, and democracy.
The prize captures the essence of the city’s MLK Monument, a permanent sculpture that honors Dr. King’s principles and is located in the Northwest Regional Library at 3151 University Drive.
According to the release, the recipient from the previous year, Dan Bruck, a philanthropist and local company owner, was honored for his significant contributions to the community.
By 5 p.m. on Friday, January 17, candidates are urged to submit their nominations online at CoralSprings.gov/MLKMonument.
