Store manager at Coral Springs AT&T store charged with alleged theft and pawning scheme

Coral Springs, Florida – A police complaint claims that a manager at the Coral Springs, Florida, AT&T store on Coral Ridge Drive has been charged in relation to a scam involving the theft and pawning of electronic devices.

According to the investigation, Andre Suarez, 24, of Palm Springs, stole four cell phones, an iPad tablet, and an Apple Watch from the store between October 28 and January 6.

According to the complaint, Suarez fraudulently paid $425 toward his personal phone account via the store’s computer systems.

The projected total loss is $4,155.

According to the complaint, USA Wireless, the parent franchise of the business, discovered the theft after an audit that revealed many goods were missing from inventory.

According to the article, Suarez admitted to stealing and pawning the items during a police interview.

According to the investigation, he received around $1,300 for the things.

According to the report, Suarez assisted in the recovery of the stolen goods on January 11 by visiting two pawn shops, Value Pawn in Coral Springs and Gold Pawn City in Margate.

According to the article, the retailer paid $1,377 in redemption fees and was able to get the goods back.

According to the investigation, Suarez acknowledged that he pawned the things because he was having financial troubles.

He told authorities that his coworkers were not aware of his conduct and that he intended to return for the items once he had enough money.

Suarez faces grand theft charges.
