A new gym and aquatic facility proposed for Coral Springs as part of the sportsplex expansion

Coral Springs, Florida – A drawing detailing potential developments has been issued by the consultant Coral Springs engaged to investigate improvements to the city’s Sportsplex area.
Plans for an indoor sports and fitness facility with eight basketball courts are included in the concept.
On undeveloped property across from the Coral Springs Aquatics Complex on Royal Palm Boulevard, the facility would be constructed.
The rendering also shows a brand-new outdoor water recreation space on a special events field close to the aquatic facility.
The city intends to construct a restaurant and Everglades lookout tower nearby.
Last year, the city paid $150,000 to the Clearwater-based company Sports Facilities Development, LLC to help with planning for the potential transformation of undeveloped land into a state-of-the-art gymnasium.
According to officials, the proposed complex would have a track, basketball courts, bleachers, a fitness center, and locker rooms.
Redesigning the Aquatics Complex and Tennis Center to enhance both appearance and functionality is another duty assigned to the firm.
City authorities said the objective is to build a “world-class facility for sports activities, events, and competitions.”
According to city officials, the rendering is still only a conceptual idea as of this month, with no set price or start date yet.
