Coral Springs man reports the theft of $13,500 worth of jewelry from his home after discovering it missing while cleaning out his safe

Coral Springs, Florida – A Coral Springs man has reported a substantial jewelry theft from his home, with the missing items valued at approximately $13,500. The theft, which was discovered on March 18, was initially noticed while the man was cleaning out his safe. The resident, who lives with his father, found that a red calculus book, which had been used to store the jewelry, was also missing. According to the police report, the items were last seen in a guest bedroom/office, where they had been placed on a bookshelf.

The stolen jewelry includes a variety of valuable pieces, each with significant worth. Among the missing items is a gold ring featuring a Mexico coin, valued at $3,000. A gold graduation ring with a red ruby, worth $4,500, was also taken. Additionally, a pair of gold and silver twisted bar cuff links, valued at $3,000, and a diamond earring that had been used as a tie tack, also worth $3,000, were reported missing.

The man told police that the last time he saw the jewelry was approximately six months ago, though he wasn’t certain of the exact time it was taken. He suspects that the theft may have occurred sometime during that period. Over the past several months, multiple workers had entered the home to perform various tasks, including cable installation, bed deliveries, air conditioning service, electrical work, and bathroom remodeling. The resident believes that one of these individuals may have been responsible for the theft.

In his report to the Coral Springs Police, the resident explained that he did not have serial numbers or photos of the missing items, which complicates the investigation. Furthermore, he noted that only one other person — his brother — was aware of the location where the jewelry had been stored.

The Coral Springs Police Department has opened an investigation into the incident, categorizing it as grand theft. Detectives are working to piece together the details of the case and identify any potential suspects. At this stage, the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the theft or the individuals who may have been in the home during the past six months to come forward.

The loss of such a significant amount of valuable jewelry has left the resident frustrated and concerned. As the investigation continues, he is hoping for a swift resolution to recover his belongings and bring those responsible to justice.
