Coral Springs redevelopment agency approves $24,000 grant for wellness center building improvements

Coral Springs, Florida – The Coral Springs Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has granted $24,389 to Jaan Holistic Wellness, a wellness center located in the heart of the city. The grant will fund significant improvements to the center, aimed at enhancing both its interior and exterior spaces. This move comes as part of the CRA’s ongoing efforts to rejuvenate and support local businesses, especially in the downtown area.

Jaan Holistic Wellness, which resides in a strip mall at 9864 Sample Road, will use the grant to make necessary upgrades to the building. The total cost of the project is estimated at $50,337, with the CRA covering nearly half of the expenses. According to a CRA document, the upgrades will include construction of interior walls to create private treatment rooms, the installation of new cabinetry and a bathroom, as well as plumbing upgrades. The wellness center will also benefit from a fresh coat of paint and the addition of storm shutters, providing enhanced security and aesthetic appeal.

The exterior improvements will feature updated signage and window decals, which will help to make the center more visible and appealing to passersby. These upgrades are intended not only to enhance the customer experience but also to contribute to the overall aesthetic and vitality of the downtown district.

The grant is part of the CRA’s Commercial Property Enhancement Grant program, which is designed to assist businesses in making property improvements that will revitalize Coral Springs’ commercial areas. This program is a crucial part of the city’s effort to stimulate economic growth and improve the visual appeal of the downtown core. By investing in local businesses, the CRA hopes to encourage further development and attract more visitors to the area.
