Cieladitos to close Coral Springs store on Wiles Road after six years

Coral Springs, Florida – After becoming a familiar stop for sweet treats, colorful desserts, and Mexican-inspired snacks, Cieladitos is preparing to close its Coral Springs storefront on Wiles Road, ending a six-year run that built a loyal local following.

The small business, located at 7782 Wiles Road, has served families in the community since 2020. Over the years, it became known for ice cream, chamoyadas, aguas frescas, Mexican candies, and a variety of frozen desserts that attracted both regular customers and first-time visitors looking for something different from traditional dessert shops.

Owners Shane and Dulce Carter announced the closure through a message shared on Instagram, confirming that Monday will be the final day of operations for the Coral Springs location.

“After 6 wonderful years of serving the Coral Springs community, we have made the difficult decision to close our Coral Springs location,” the Carters wrote on Instagram.

The announcement marks the end of a chapter for a shop that grew steadily through word-of-mouth and community support. Families often stopped in for after-school treats, weekend desserts, and specialty sweets that reflected Mexican flavors and traditions. For many residents, Cieladitos became a recognizable part of the Wiles Road corridor.

According to the owners, the decision to close is tied to a major life change. The Carters recently relocated to Gainesville, which made it increasingly difficult to continue managing a hands-on business from a distance. What once operated as a daily in-person venture gradually turned into a long-distance effort, creating challenges in maintaining the same level of day-to-day involvement.

Despite the closure, the owners expressed deep appreciation for the community that supported them since the beginning.

In their farewell message, they reflected on the connections built over the years.

“We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share our treats with all of you and to be a part of so many special moments over the years,” they wrote. “Thank you for your support, loyalty, patience, and love throughout this journey.”

The message struck an emotional tone for many longtime customers who followed the business from its early days. Cieladitos built its reputation not only on its menu but also on its personal touch, with the owners often interacting directly with customers and creating a family-like atmosphere inside the shop.

While the Coral Springs storefront is closing, the Carters say the brand itself is not disappearing. In their statement, they suggested that this may not be a permanent goodbye and left the door open for future plans.

“While this chapter is coming to an end, we hope it isn’t goodbye forever,” they wrote. “We may reopen in a new location in the future, and we will continue selling our candy online.”

They also expressed interest in potentially returning to a brick-and-mortar setting down the line, possibly even back in Coral Springs, where the business first built its customer base. The idea of expansion through franchising is also being explored, according to the owners, as they look for ways to grow the Cieladitos name beyond a single storefront.

For now, the focus remains on wrapping up operations at the Wiles Road location and saying goodbye to the customers who helped shape the business over the past six years. The final days have drawn attention from regular visitors who have returned one last time for familiar favorites and a final taste of the shop’s signature treats.

As Cieladitos prepares to close its doors, it leaves behind a small but memorable footprint in the Coral Springs community — one built on sweets, tradition, and a steady stream of loyal customers who helped turn a neighborhood shop into a local favorite.
