Coral Springs City Commission approves unique sign design for Eddie & Vinny’s Coastal Italian Restaurant

Coral Springs, Florida – In a move that reflects the city’s support for local businesses, the Coral Springs City Commission has granted special approval to Eddie & Vinny’s Coastal Italian restaurant for an oversized sign that exceeds the usual height and square footage limits set by local law. This approval, which came earlier this week during a City Commission meeting, is a nod to the restaurant’s importance in the community and its efforts to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal.
Eddie & Vinny’s, located at 10171 Sample Road, occupies the space formerly known as Tavolino Della Notte. Specializing in seafood, pasta, and Italian cuisine, the restaurant has already become a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. However, the owners felt that their original sign was not adequately representative of their brand and the ambiance they aim to create. With this in mind, they submitted a request for a sign variance that would allow for a larger and more prominent sign.

The proposal included a design that featured a 48-inch letter with artistic flourishes on the first letter of each word, bringing the overall height of the sign to an impressive 103 inches. Additionally, the sign will cover approximately 97 square feet. The owners sought approval to install this larger sign on the second floor of the two-story building, which they believe will improve visibility and attract more attention to their restaurant.
The City Commission unanimously voted in favor of granting the variance, allowing the restaurant to move forward with its signage plans. “The approval of this variance is a demonstration of the city’s commitment to supporting businesses that contribute to the local economy and the vibrancy of the community,” said a representative from the commission. The new sign is expected to be installed in the coming weeks, marking another milestone in Eddie & Vinny’s development.
This approval also comes on the heels of another significant boost for the restaurant. Last year, Coral Springs allocated up to $50,000 through its Economic Development Incentive Program to help the restaurant modernize the building’s façade. This funding was part of a broader effort to improve the streetscape in the area, ensuring that local businesses like Eddie & Vinny’s have the resources they need to thrive.
The new sign is just one of the ways Eddie & Vinny’s is positioning itself to stand out and attract customers in an increasingly competitive restaurant market. With its focus on high-quality Italian cuisine and seafood, the restaurant is poised to become a staple in the Coral Springs dining scene. The special approval from the City Commission, combined with the earlier funding for façade improvements, shows that the city is dedicated to fostering an environment where local businesses can grow and succeed.
